My first Birchbox!!!

I have several box subscriptions and one of my latest is Birchbox!  This was my first Birchbox and also my last.  I think I have been too spoiled with my Ipsy and Boxycharm that this one just seemed very not worth it.  First off let me say the box is VERY plain and not appealing at all.  There is no "stuffing" inside the box to protect the items.  One of the creamy items opened and was everywhere inside the box so I had to clean everything off and I am not even sure which item it was because they are still closed.  I really hope they didn't pack the items with the stuff already all over them.

The first item I was actually kinda excited about is the Jergens BB Body cream!  This item is not listed on the card so I am not sure of the price but it is a BB cream for your body.  It says it hydrates, illuminates, evens, firms, and corrects!  It is supposed to perfect skin in just 5 days!  I have not tried it yet but I plan to and once I get passed those 5 days I will do a full review on it!

Next I got Agave Healing Oil for your hair!  It says it smoothes, restores and transforms unmanageable, frizzy hair.  Directions say to work a small amount onto damp hair from root to ends.  A full size of this is $24-$40!  This small sample is 0.1oz so just enough for 1 trial.  I would have liked enough for at least 2 trials.

The next item I got that I like is theBalm "How 'Bout Them Apples?" cheek and lip cream in the color Pie.  First of all, I love the packaging on this products!  Very colorful and pretty!  Says it is a dual-purpose creamy stain.  It definitely is creamy but I'm am not sure of the stain part.  When I think of a lip stain it usually doesn't wipe off too easy but this one comes right off.  The price for a full size of this is $32.00!

The next product I recieved was Keims Hair Care cleanshine energizing shampoo enriched with silk protein.  It is peppermint and macadamia nut.  The scent is amazing!  I cannot wait to try this product!  The price of this is $9.50!

The last product I got was Havvn night cream!  I am kinda excited about this because I don't have a cream specifically for night time so I can't wait to give it a try!  It has a VERY herbally smell to it and I am not really a fan of that so I am not sure how well I will like it but I will give it a try anyway.  It says it visibly reduces wrinkles and revives dull skin!  The price for a full size of this one is $30.00!

Overall I am not super pleased with this box.  I have looked and looked for websites for these products and cannot find them which also turns me off a bit..  I don't think I will be continuing my subscription.  I have heard a lot of bad things about Birchbox unfortunately and I guess I can confirm it is not really worth the money.  The samples are very small and I am more used to the more deluxe size samples and non-messy boxes.  I am also not pleased with the packaging overall.  They do not use anything to cushion the products which, to me, means they do not care if we receive damaged products.  I am just not thrilled about it.  I hope you guys have happier experiences if you are a Birchbox subscriber.

Studio Gear CC Cream Review...

If you cannot tell I am a makeup addict!  I have sooo many different products from sooo many different brands.  I recently started trying different BB and CC creams and I am really not a fan of them over a foundation. However, I found a pretty nice CC cream by Studio Gear!  I was given the product from Studio Gear and I tried it out 3 days now and I have no complaints.

First of all, the packaging is like that of most CC creams.  Just a tube, nothing spectacular.  The consistency is quite nice although I was a little confused why there are little beads or grains of something in it.  I haven't figured out what they are yet but whatever it is they dissolve when you apply it.  The color correcting works pretty well.  I have a slight redness to my face most of the time and it helped to relieve some of that redness.  The smell is different and really reminds me of St. Ives Apricot scrub for some reason.  It is slightly moisturizing but Im not sure it is 72 hours of moisture like it says on the packaging not that it matters because I use moisturizer anyways.  It says it can be used over moisturizer and under foundation.  I plan to try it under my foundation tomorrow and see how I like it then.

Overall, I am pleased with the Studio Gear CC Cream!  I am pretty fair skinned and I got the "Natural" color and it works well for my skin color!  If you are interested in trying this out you can find it HERE!

Crazy lashes lol

So last night was a crazy night.  My kids went to their aunts house for the night so it was just me and my husband and that is something that literally NEVER happens.  We have not been away from them but one other time in the whole 8 years we been parents.  So we were sitting here trying to figure out what we wanted to do...go to a movie, bowling, casino...we decided the casino.  So I go shower and do my makeup and then realize my license is expired so we couldnt go so we ended up staying home and playing cards and I ended up falling asleep in my Bombshell mascara...I woke up this morning and my lashes were so crazy.  Sticking up in all different directions...all stick together in some places.  My eye hurt too!  I fell asleep with my arm over my eyes and I'm positive that is why it happened but I have put coconut oil on them and combed them a few times and now they are back to being right thankfully.  It was rather amusing.

Acne Free!

If you didn't know I have had an acne issue since way back when and I have tried so many different things to get it to go away and the most recent being the Acne Free cleanser.  I used this about 6-8 years ago for quite a while and it worked pretty well but I stopped because I didn't like the smell.  Well I recently started using it again just to help the small breakouts I get now.  Well that ended after about a week of using it.  My face is sooooo dry even after using the awesome Garnier moisturizer and the Purlisse moisturizer.  Im talking excessively dry to where it actually hurts!  I have never had this reaction to anything before.  Not only does it itch like crazy and is super dry and hurts but my face is super red in certain areas.  It almost looks like I have a hives break out or something!  I am so mad about this because I would have rathered the one or 2 tiny zits compared to this!  Have any of you ever had this reaction to the Acne Free products?  I stopped using it about 4 days ago and I have been just washing my face with plain water and putting on a ton of moisturizer and its slowly starting to help thankfully!  Remind me to not do that again!

Boxycharm March 2014!!

If you have read my previous posts then you already know what Boxycharm is..Or maybe you knew before you read my blog..or maybe you have no idea what Boxycharm is..If that is the case then let me fill you in!

Boxycharm is an awesome monthly beauty box subscription!  You pay only $21/month and you get 5 full size name brand beauty products sent to you every month!  Last month was my first month and I got some awesome stuff and this is my second one and I got some more awesome stuff!

This March 2014 box came with 5 awesome items!

First is the Bellapierre Make Up Base..Retail $18.99
www.bellapierre.com

Next is the Bellapierre Shimmer Powder..Retail $14.99

Another one is the ModelCo Party Proof Cream Lipstick..Retail $17.00

Next is the STRANGEBEAUTIFUL Nail Laquer..Retail $18.00

Last but definitely not least is the Pur~lisse Pur~Moist hy-dra-balance moisturizer..Retail $55.00

All of these products come to $124.00 total and I paid just $21.00!!  Tell me that's not an awesome deal!  I have to say I am in love with 3 products this month! The lipstick, moisturizer and nail polish!  The nail polish colors are very pigmented and I only used 1 coat and as you can see in the picture it covers very well!  The moisturizer is very nice also! I have used it about 1 week now as my night time moisturizer and it was working very well until I started using a new face wash and the face wash has my face VERY dry but this moisturizer is helping it and I have stopped using the face wash!  The lipstick is an awesome pink color I believe the color is called "Pinking of you".  The lipstick also has a mirror on the lid which is great!  Keeps me from digging in my purse to find my compact mirror :) I have not tried the shimmer powder yet but I will most likely this week and the make up base is pretty nice also although I have only used it twice so far I think!

If you are looking into beauty box subscriptons I definitely recommend this one!  I have 5 different subscriptions now since I have signed up for 3 new ones and I hope the other 3 are as great as Boxycharm and Ipsy! I am sure I will decide with my first box whether or not I will keep the other subscriptions but I know for sure I will be keeping Ipsy and Boxycharm!  They are both well worth the money I pay!  I mean hello!  This box was only $21 for $125 worth of products! And the stuff you do not like or do not want to use you can always resell or give away!

So again if you are looking a good beauty box subscription this is definitely a great one!! You can sign up by clicking HERE.

My First Ipsy Bag!!!!

Well, if you didn't already know..Ipsy is another beauty membership bag! This one is only $10/month and FREE shipping! They ship you a different little bag every month with 4-5 beauty products! If for whatever reason you do not like the bag you can cancel at any time!

This is my first Ipsy bag and I love it! I am already anticipating my next one! I got 4 items plus the bag itself!

In this bag I got an eyeliner pen by Chella in Indigo Blue...
Flawless Beauty Primer by Pixi
BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready
NYX Eyeshadow Trio in Cabana Boy

One great thing about these bags is the amount of money you pay compared to the retail value of everything you get in there! This bag is worth about $50 for everything in there and the bag! I paid ONLY $10!

I was a little sad because I had watched videos of other openings and some people got some different stuff than I did but I am pretty happy with what I got.  The NYX eyeshadow is my favorite! I always mostly use more natural eye colors and this one is just that. The one item I was not super happy with was the eyeliner pen by Chella simply because I do not wear blue colors. I also wasn;t very happy with the primer because it has an iridescent finish and I don't like that. I am happy with the lipstick! It is a nice color that can pretty much go with anything. I also thought the bag was nice! I like that it is so colorful! Overall, I am happy with my Ipsy experience! You can get your bag at Ipsy.com for only $10/month and FREE shipping!

I will also be making a new video to review these products so be sure to check my channel in a few days to see that! Don;t forget to subscribe also!

Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask

If there is one thing I love about being a woman is all the amazing beauty products we get to play with!! One of my new favorites is Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask! I absolutely love putting on a face mask and some cucumbers on my eyes and just relaxing for half hour or an hour! I really wish I got to do it more often!

Boots makes a very nice Clay Mask! I got mine FREE from my Influenster Voxbox and I am very happy I did because otherwise I might not have ever tried it! I have used it twice already and I love it! Not only is it great because I got it FREE but I love it because it is all natural! Power of plants! As it says on the tube! I do tend to use more products that are NOT natural but I do feel a lot better using the all natural items!

This mask is a runnier type of mask which I was not expecting at first so be aware when you open it! It's not thick like most clay masks! It does not have a crazy strong odor which is great! It dries pretty fast since it is a runny consistency! I like that because I swear everytime I try to do a face mask I end up getting a visitor or something and it takes forever to wash that stuff normally. Not with this one! A quick rinse is all it takes!

I love the fact that even after you rinse you can feel that your skin is much cleaner and tighter already! I also tried this mask after one of my lemon/sugar scrubs and I loved it! The lemon/sugar scrub makes my face amazingly smooth already but this stuff helps also!

I definitely recommend it if you have not tried it yet! You can find it HERE for less that $10!! Give it a try! It's a great product!
