Why is exfoliating so important?

Exfoliating your skin (especially your face) is very important to get off any dead skin you most likely have! Dead skin does nothing for your complexion besides making it look drab and dry and not nice! I can guarentee if you have never exfoliated before and you try this today you will be amazed!

Exfoliating is SUPER SIMPLE! All you need is a lemon or a lime and some sugar! You can do this multiple ways but the simplest way is to just get the juice from 1/4 of a lemon or lime and add about 1 tsp. granulated or brown sugar and use with your fingers or a face cleaning pad and rub all over your face in circular motions for about 2-3 minutes!

The lemon/lime is great for 3 things! First of all, I call it my mini peel because it does a great job of peeling away dead skin to bring forth your beautiful rejuvinated skin! Second, it is a natural antibiotic to rid you of any bacteria that may be trapped in your pores! And lastly, it acts as a toner and helps close your pores to minimize any oil production you may have! All of these things help to bring forth your beautiful glowing skin underneath!

The sugar is also a natural antioxident helping to get out the bacteria! Is also a great exfoliant for obvious reasons being it is a course texture! Sugar is also a good moisturizer. You really cannot lose using sugar as a scrub or exfoliant!

Now after you have finished doing the exfoliating you can go ahead and do a quick rinse with cool water! The cool water helps to close up the pores! Don't forget to use a lightweight face moisturizer! I have been using the Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel Cream Moisturizer! This is the first time I used it after exfoliating and I could not be any happier with the results! My face is probably the smoothest it has ever been!

After you exfoliate and apply your moisturizer, I would wait about 10 minutes before applying makeup to give it time to soak up and reall soften your face!

I would love to hear your feedback after you try this! Please leave comments!

Nice Face Moisturizer by Garnier!

I have been having some serious dry skin issues on my face this year and I usually use coconut oil as a moisturizer but it's just not cutting it this winter. I was at Walgreens the other day picking up some stuff and thought I would look for the moisturizer I used to use which was Clean & Clear...Well of course the lady in the beauty department recommended the stuff for like $20 but I wasn't prepared to pay that much at that time so I did my own searching and I came across this Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream...Says it intensly locks in moisture and soothes dry skin for 24 hours...sounds pretty good right?

I like some Garnier products and some I do not like so much...I will use Garnier hair color and shampoos and conditioners but I do not care for their other hair products but I don't think I have ever tried their face products before.  I read the label of course and noticed it said NO OIL which caught my attention to read further! It is made with antioxident fruit water which sounds good for my skin...

Either way it was $8 something and looked like a nice product so I decided to give it a try! As soon as I opened it I liked the consistency! It is definitely a gel consistency! I used it that night and woke up yesterday with such a soft face! Definitely moisturized! It is very light weight and once you get it rubbed into your face you cannot feel it! A lot of moisturizers leave you with that feeling of something on your face and I can't stand that! This does not do that! It is very light and you don't even know its there! It says to use it in the morning and at night so I used it after my shower yesterday morning with just my regular face wash and again my face was so smooth and not dry! I loved it and I used it again lastnight after I washed my face before bed and this morning again a super soft face! I can't wait to give it a try after I do my exfoliating later!

I think I have fallen in love with this moisturizer! I have combination skin and very prone to break outs and I have not had 1 break out since I started using this just 2 days ago! I am hoping it continues that way! I recommend this for all skin types! If you are looking for a nice moisturizer for a good price give it a try!

Wellll, if you read my last post then you know I get this monthly Boxycharm makeup subscription box for only $21/month. It is pretty awesome so far! It came yesterday and like I said in my last post, my dogs got to it before I did so I couldnt do a proper unboxing like I wanted to :( However, I will still give a run down of what I got!

Item #1 was a Nars nail polish in Disco Inferno..retails for $19.00

Item #2 was Eyelashes by Eyelashi...retails for $9.00
Item #3 was a Mirabella lip pencil in Blush Velvet...retails for $23.00
   Item #4 was a Pandora's Makeup Box Eyeshadow in...it doesnt tell a color :/...retails for $18.00
Item #5 was a Mirabella eye definer pencil in Bronze...retails for 19.00

And here are swatches of the eyeshadow, eye definer, and lip pencil!

If you have never tried a monthly makeup subscription box yet I recommend this one! Every month they send you a new box full of new products and every month is always different stuff! Stupid mail lady!!!!

Ok so I started my fisr subscription of Boxycharm a few weeks ago...I have been patiently waiting on my first box to arrive and it came yesterday! First of all I guess I should fill you on what Boxycharm is...Boxycharm is a monthly subscription of makeup items...You pay a small amount of $21/month and they send a box full of makeup products. All the products added up usually come up to over $50 worth so its well worth it!

Well, anyways I was waiting and waiting for my package to arrive because my tracking info said it was out to be delivered. Well the mail lady hasnt been getting here until about 5:30pm lately but I was being impatient so I sent my son outside like 3:30 to check if anything came yet...He came in with a paper and a small package which was something for my husband...So now I was mad because I know the mail lady had my package with her she just forgot to deliver it...so I thought...Well about 2 hours went by and I decided to go out and check for myself and as soon as I stepped outside I seen a bunch of brown packaging paper all over the ground and pink filler paper and bubble wrap...Then I seen a computer screen my husband had ordered and my makeup alllll over the ground!!!!

The idiot mail lady apparently dropped our stuff off outside somewhere and didnt even ring the bell or knock on the door to tell me it was out there and I had let my dogs out earlier to use the bathroom and they apparently found it and ripped it apart..The computer screen was broken of course and my box of makeup was completely demolished...Thankfully the makeup is pretty much unharmed..There are some small spots on each item where you can see the dogs had them in their mouth but everything is still usable!

So I called to complain to the post office and they told me they hope I got insurance on everything because THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO!! Like are you serious?! My husband repairs computers and phones as his job so the computer screen was for a client and although I only paid $21 for the makeup it was all worth almost $100 retail...So I will be calling the head of the post office tomorrow and see what they can tell me because I definitely feel like the computer screen at least should be replaced! Then to top it all off the mail lady came today and brought some other packages to my door and I asked her what she feels should be done about this whole issue and she tells me she is not allowed to talk about it! LOL I just laughed in her face..So annoying!! Sorry for the rant but I had to let it out :)

Target Haul!!!

Went to Target tonight and got a few awesome things! First of all, I just went because I was in the area and haven't been in there in a while and had some time to kill. I didn't intend to buy anything but we all know how that goes...Well I got about 2 bags of stuff.

I got a pair of yoga pants for $10 on sale from $14.99 I believe. I got a super cute nighty set...A top with a thong kind of set...I love it...It was $13 I think...I got a new lamp shade for like $3.50 for my reading lamp in my bedroom..It a white underlay with black lace over it.  I got some Pantene hair oil. It was on clearance for like $5...Can't wait to try that! I also got some Clear scalp and hair shampoo and conditioner from the front dollar section for $1 each. They are just the trial sizes but still a good deal. I got 2 really cute pairs of earrings for like $3 each on clearance! I got my 1 year old a super cute little old man hat for $1 in the front dollar section. And I got a transleusent powder by Maybelline for like $6 not on sale.

I forgot how much I love Target and their clearance sales! You can always find something awesome for a super cheap price! I think I might go back tomorrow and get this bag I was looking at! Not sure if I really need it but then again I probably didn't need anything that I bought tonight :)

Trying something new!

As many of you know, the winter months are so hard on a persons body! You get lazy, gain weight, your skin get dry and cracked, ect...Well, I am trying something new this year! I am going to start doing YOGA! I have barely tried this in the past, and I say barely because it was literally a 1 time event like 2 years ago when I was pregnant! However, this time I want to seriously give it a try and see what happens.

This winter I have gained about 10lbs. I am only 128 lbs. which is not bad by any means but I didn't do any working out or excersize at all after I had my last child 19 months ago so I can definitely afford to get myself in shape! Not only that but some relaxation and energy wouldn't hurt at all either!

Are any of you guys into YOGA? If so please please please give me the do's and dont's! I think to start with I will be using youtube.com as my guide until I decide if I really want to go with this or not and then I will probably get into buying all the neccessities! I do have yoga pants though! Is that step 1?

Well if you are wanting to give this a try with me HERE is the video I think Im going to start with!

Covergirl Bombshell Products!!!!

So I am on a site called EXPOTV.COM and it is another site like Influenster.com where you do little tasks and get awesome FREE stuff! Well After just signing up and doing my little tasks I was invited to try a box of Covergirl Bombshell products! I was so excited! A few days later I recieved my box and I was ecstatic when I opened it and seen a full size Bombshell Mascara, full size Bombshell Liquid Eyeliner, and Bombshell Cream Eyeshadow! All for FREE!! I have tried all the products and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about any of the products!

The Covergirl Bombshell mascara is amazing!! It is a 2 step process and I have tried it with both steps and also with only step 2 and it works just as well I think? It goes on easy and stays all day! It is a little hard to get off but that is ok because that means on the crazy rainy days it will stay in place!

The Covergirl Bombshell liquid eyeliner is amazing as well! It goes on so smooth and easy! Comes off super easy also! I would not recommend this for rainy days!

The Covergirl Bombshell cream eyeshadow is very nice! It goes on very easy just with yout finger tip! You can either use a "wipe" motion to get it on thicker or use a "dab" motion to get it thinner. It seemed to last all day for me with out a primer!

I will be buying these items when these ones run out for sure! I can't even pick which one I am happier with because they are all very nice products! Covergirl always makes such awesome stuff!

Don't forget to click here for awesome FREE stuff like this!! Please remember I did not pay for any of this stuff! I got it all COMPLETELY FREE from EXPOTV.COM.

If you follow them on Twitter and Facebook they give hints to the stuff inside the boxes which is cool for people like me who have no patience lol...Anyway everything is COMPLETELY FREE!! So go sign up!!

I just got my very first "Vox Box" from Influenster and it was filled with all different kinds of stuff! I had a HUGE bag of Hershey's Kisses! A delux trial size of John Freida Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight spray! A full size bottle of Vaseline Mens 24 Hour Moisturizing Spray for my husband! 4 Teas that also came with a coupon for when I buy the product! Kiss eyelashes! And Boots Botanical Clay Facemask! That is a ton of stuff for FREE! I have tried the teas and they were delicious!! The John Freida spray worked well but my hair isn't naturally curly really so I don't know how well it would work on curly hair. I have not tried the face mask yet but I think I will do that tomorrow night if I don't have anything else to do. My husband has not tried the Vaseline moisturizing spray yet. I will most likely be using the eyelashes as soon as Im dont with the pair I am using now! Annnddd the Hershey's Kisses were broke into as soon as I finished my unboxing video for Youtube :D

Body Wash To Help Your Dry Winter Skin!

As I may have stated before, I am a BzzAgent and I get items for FREE to try out and give my review and share with you guys out there! Well, this time I got an awesome body wash by Tone! I love this body wash! First of all it smells delicious! A lot of body washes only tend to smell while you are using them. Well, this ones scent last quite a while after the shower for me! It's not a strong, over-powering scent either which is great!

My favorite thing about the Tone body wash is that it helps so much to moisturize my skin without making me oily! In these dry wintery months it's hard to find a body wash that moisturizes your skin instead of drying it out more than the dry winter air already does! I have been using this Tone body wash for about a week now and I can seen such a great difference in my skin! I recommend giving this body wash a try if you have dry skin!

I love being a BzzAgent! I get to try out so many things for FREE and give my opinions on the products I try so I can let you guys out there know about some amazing products!! I really hope you guys give this Tone body wash a try!

Cheapskate!!! ;)

Ok so I went into the Dollar Tree store today and OH EM GEEEEE!!!! I have never went in there before because I don't have one locally and I have driven by it before on my way to the city where I do my makeup shopping and I always just thought it was a normal dollar store like Family Dollar or Dollar General...Boy was I wrong!

Well I was up that way and my son made a mess with his juice and I went to get him cleaned up and noticed I forgot my baby wipes so since I was in the same plaza as this store I decided just run in there since it was closest...well after walking in and seeing how different of a store it was from the normal dollar stores I walked right back out and had my husband bring the kids in because I knew this would be a whole store trip.

Sure enough! I was in this store about 45 minutes in amazement by all the stuff they have for ONLY $1!!!! Such cute Valentines Day items and knick knacks and this and thats...I bought quite a bit of stuff! I will be doing a haul video on youtube and I will post it here as well..But I got some makeup, knick knacks, dishes, other misc items...However I did not get the baby wipes because they were a cheap brand and they would have ate up my sons skin since he has sensitive skin but I did buy paper towels and they worked just fine until we got home. Ugh I cannot wait to do my haul but I think I will wait until my Sephora shopping trip this weekend and just do it all together in one! So until then...check out my yutube videos on the Nibblebox from Graze.com and I know I am kinda slow at this stuff but I am very new to all of this and am still getting the hang of it all! :) Until next time...Stay BEAUTIFUL!!

Healthy Skin From The Inside Out!!

Do you have acne prone skin? Well I sure do! Acne is a hard thing to keep under control that is for sure! Especially if you wear makeup! I have recently found something super easy nad very cost effective to help with acne prone skin!!

LEMON WATER!!!

Simple as that! The trick to this though is that you should drink the water like room temp or slightly warm to get good results. All you need to do is add half a lemons juice to a glass of luke warm water and drink it down. You should do this at least twice a day but can do it more than that if you are not seeing results within about a week.  Water is great for you anyway but the lemon adds to it and helps to detox the blood which helps with acne! The warmer the water the better! If you are brave use the juice from a whole lemon! I am not so brave so I use the juice from half a lemon added to about 1 1/2 cups of warm water and drink it down. I do this about 3 times a day! Once in the morning, afternoon and before bed! You can also use lemon juice as an astringent! As I stated in my post on the homemade facial you just cleanse your face and after you rinse use a cotton ball to apply lemon juice to your face avoiding eyes of course! Give it a try and after a week or 2 let me know if your blemishes are decreasing!

I also want to add that I use actual lemons for the juice and not concentrated stuff that comes in a bottle. I'm sure you could use that stuff but real lemons are definitely more effective!
